Buyer procurement guide

How should buyers verify Ophiocordyceps sinensis species identity?

Use a formal identification report with a clear method, result, laboratory, sample description and batch linkage; appearance alone is not sufficient.

A useful species-identification file should name the tested material, state the identification method, report the result as Ophiocordyceps sinensis, identify the laboratory and link the tested sample to the commercial batch or an agreed representative sample.

The historical report currently reviewed for this website measured selected chemical and contaminant items but did not establish species identity. It must not be relabelled as a species-identification report. Current species evidence should be confirmed for the intended order before a buyer relies on the claim.
